The sun is shining and this month, David and Liam after getting some banter out the way, start discussion with what films they have been watching over the last month.  Their quick thoughts of Bridesmaids and Terrance Malick’s Tree of Life are followed by a review of the last film in the Harry Potter saga, The Deathly Hallows Part 2.  This week Liam opts to review the classic John Hughes comedy, Trains, Planes and Automobiles.  The plot, who to support, the emotional heart of the film and John Candy’s career are all discussed.  In the first ever documentary review on the show, Exit Through The Gift Shop is analysed, the reliability, the characters and David’s overall enjoyment is explored.  The Did You Know? Segment features actors with green hair and Stars Wars trivia and the news hit leads to talk of Paris Hilton, The Thing and Jennifer Lopez.  All this week on The Sex Scene!

Sex Scene - June Edition - Ozploitation of the Scottish Nation

Its summer time and this month The Sex Scene begins with discussion of Hangover part II, Mothers Day and what the hosts are looking forward to this summer.  David chooses to review new Peter Mullan film Neds and discusses dramatic aspects, social commentary and the films meanings.  He also ponders why the climax has been criticised, an explanation for the final scene and the films overall length.  Liam tackles Ozploitation films, detailing their history and the most important films of the genre.  Discussion continues with reviews of the films Long Weekend and Patrick.  The Did You Know Segment uncovers a screen legends large prop collection and what she has decided to do with it.  The News Hit brings to light more information on the next Quentin Tarantino film and looks at some criticisms of The Social Network.  All this week on The Sex Scene!

Sex Scene - May Edition - Kingdom of Basterds

This month begins with the first ever ‘quick’ review David and Liam have taken on, as they discuss the new character-driven comedy Cedar Rapids.  John C Riley’s performance, hilarity and the overall story of the film is pondered, along with David’s experience with Scream 4.  Liam chooses to review the latest sequel in the Indiana Jones franchise, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and looks at its good points, nostalgic nature and fight scenes.  They also think about where it lies on the list of best Indiana Jones films, Harrison Ford’s acting and the flicks conclusion.  Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds is reviewed by David and analyses the first scene, the choice of Brad Pitt and the films linear storyline.  Christophe Waltz’s performance, the Cannes cut and some of the films unnecessary scenes are also on the agenda.  The Did You Know segment brings to light Orson Wells bringing chaos to the country and the News Hit leads to discussion on Glee 3D, Will Smith in Tarantino’s next project and Danny Boyles busy schedule.  All this month on The Sex Scene!

Its spring and this month The Sex Scene begins with discussion of David’s irritating wake up call, Paranormal Activity 2, deleted scenes from Bean, DVD special features and the TV show Medium.  David chooses to review Four Lions and discusses its risqué nature, small theatrical release and its best jokes.  He also ponders as to whether the film is under appreciated, the stark contrasts that can be made and the films crazy climax.  Liam tackles Peter Jackson’s King Kong, contemplating Jack Black’s performance, its length and the most dramatic scenes.  Discussion continues with more on the story, the main characters turning point and the New York chaos.  The Did You Know Segment uncovers the lack of initial success for The Shawshank Redemption and why Hollywood is situated in California.  The News Hit brings to light more information on the Monsters Inc. Its post-Oscars and this month The Sex Scene begins by discussing red carpet interviews, this year’s Oscar’s hosts and the magic of the awards waning.  This month, Liam chooses to review the Alfred Hitchcock classic, Rear Window discussing the film’s premise and interesting plot.  He contemplates the interesting camera shots, sets and characters and also why it would be in his top five.  Coming right back up to present, David reviews the best film nominee - The Fighter and looks into what makes it different and the greatness of Christian Bale’s performance.  The host’s question the films predictability, the potential blandness of Micky Ward, the strength of the Sugar Ray Leonard scene and why the family should appear on Jeremy Kyle.  The Did You Know segment includes Baywatch Nights and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s amazingly high IQ.  The News Hit covers DreamWorks upcoming projects including Kung Fu Panda 2, Heston’s Mission Impossible and The Expendables 2.  This month on Let’s Talk About the hosts go through each Oscar winner, ask if they should have won and discuss each film, performance and sound mixing beast.  All this month on The Sex Scene!

It’s awards season and this month’s Sex Scene begins by comparing film and music award ceremonies and situations which it can lead to.  David chooses to review Toy Story 3 and discusses his high expectations going in, the film’s budget and its new characters.  The host’s also ponder as to whether the film is the best Pixar have ever made and if it’s the most important chapter in the story.  Liam goes dark by reviewing Black Swan and looks into the psychological nature of the storyline and explains why he believes it to be the best film he has ever seen in the cinema.  The Did You Know? Segment brings to light some Pixar crossovers and how Steven Spielberg got his job.  The host’s hit into some news, touching on Die Hard 5, Christopher Nolan and the MPAA up to its usual tricks.  In the first ever “Let’s Talk About...” both David & Liam go through the important awards at this week’s Oscars and give their predictions – Black Swan or King’s Speech to with Best Film? Sex Scene - January Edition - Lucky Number 4.0

It’s the premier of The Sex Scene!  This month David and Liam are talking about more serious, but not much more serious, matters than usual and give their unique takes on film, TV and culture.  The reviews section allows Liam to look back at Live Free or Die Hard or Die Hard 4.0 as it’s known in the UK and discuss its meanings, what made it work, the Die Hard series and the awesomeness of the John McClain character.  David takes on a much different film, Weirdsville to review, find out why he thinks there should be a new genre of film called “Stoner Comedy”, if it’s like any other indie flicks and if you should check it out.  The Did You Know segment leads to discussion on getting obsessively involved with a movie, the ET ride in Disney world and the terrible Blues Brothers 2000.  The News Hit makes the hosts go both incredibly serious and also the complete opposite.  This also leads to discussion on 3D and the over-use of CGI especially in Blockbuster sequels.  David and Liam reveal their Guilty pleasures, as they share their love of Sleepy Hollow and Lucky Number Sliven.
